Partnering with business owners, program managers, engineering teams
and other user experience counterparts, the IA will work on
initiatives to continually improve our ability to market and sell
Using a customer-focused design approach while understanding and
meeting technical requirements and business goals, Information
Architects determine and own the content structure, navigational
systems, user/process flows and page interaction that comprise the
overall experience on our interactive interfaces. An Information
Architect creates the plans that are used by other team members to
develop the graphical user interface, content and functionality.
The Information Architect on this team must be able to create
easy-to-use designs within complex flows, technologies and
constraints. He/She will work collaboratively with third-party
partners and will have a strong capacity for understanding new
businesses. We need someone who enjoys the challenges in problem

Essential Duties:
1. Specification (50%)
• Produce highly accurate wireframe documentation and other
specifications required to implement design.
• Work with Product manager and team to define documentation scope.
• Review project PRD to ensure correct translation of design.•
2. Design (30%)
• Create process/task flows, site maps, wireframes, screen prototypes
that will advance the company's merchandising, business, marketing,
or branding objectives.
• Present chosen design to project and business teams for review.
• Work with engineering leads to determine efficacy of given

• Partner with business owners and project team to define product
requirements and plans that meet the strategic goals of the business
• Propose and lead appropriate project definition activities

• Provide QA feedback to and consultation with HTML, Engineering, and
PM teams prior to launch.

• 2-3 years web-based information architecture or interaction design
experience including the design of the overall architecture of one or
more web sites and moderate to advanced transactional design
experience. E-commerce experience preferred.
• Experience in client services and negotiating business decisions
• Experience observing user research and translating user research
into design decisions
• Internet usability/user interface best practices
• Exceptional information presentation (graphic and written)
• Web design experience including the capabilities of Web browsers
across multiple platforms, and new technologies a plus
• Expert proficiency with Visio required. Experience with the
following is helpful: Word, Illustrator, Photoshop, Powerpoint, and
various HTML editors.

Preferred educational level:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Information
Science and/or design disciplines (industrial, graphic,
instructional, architecture) , other relevant field, or equivalent
work experience
