Hi All,

I have been digging in on a big iPhone application project for the
past couple of months and having a blast. During this time, the
company I work for has also been working hard to develop a set of
metrics to help measure the value of UX within the organization. Last
week I was asked to contribute by researching / proposing a set of UX
metrics specific to the iPhone.

I have spent some time digging around various posts, threads and
articles this past week and there are seems to be a vast number of
approaches and opinions to UX metrics in general. I am hoping to
leverage the experience of this group to tighten my own approach. I
appreciate any insights you might have to offer with the following in

How does one measure the success of the overall user experience for
an iPhone application?

What new metrics (if any) have been introduced to accommodate the
specific nuances of the iPhone platform?

Thanks so much for your time,

Hi Liam,

You may want explore Flurry's offering. They capture analytics for
iPhone apps: http://www.flurry.com/

Now that I've reread your message, I realize you are more interested
in *what* to capture than *how* to capture the data. I think many
metrics from other platforms still apply--sign up rates, drop-off
rates, time spent, etc.--though there's certainly room for
additional, iPhone specific metrics.

Would love to hear your ideas...
