JOB Description:

Seeking an HCI designer to lead the user interface design for its
product lines. The position will be based at its headquarters in
Wexford, PA.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of user-centred
design, conceptual design and information architecture of software for
interactive applications coupled with deep technical understanding of
application development. The candidate will have a strong technical
background and the desire to make usability as their top priority

Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:

Apply user-centred UI design processes and development for software
applications.

Create prototypes including UI behaviours, user interaction models and
interaction requirements that conform to specified design and content
requirements.

Developing screen elements and refining interfaces to ease usability

Act as a recognized and active resource on user interface design issues.

Establish, document, maintain and revise functional specifications.

Work with standards and best practices for interface usability and
responding to user testing findings

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Masters degree in HCI, Human Factors or related area and a BS in
Computer Science, formal education in cognitive science

Strong graphic design, storyboarding and rapid prototyping skills in
the designer toolkits

Evangelist for usability methods and user centred design

Ability to thrive in a challenging R&D environment – short time frames
and iterative development

A minimum of 7 years of industry experience in user interface design experience

Proven track record of implementing user-centred designs

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
