I was working on a project last year that was based on a UI comprised of a
series of user configurable tiles each with their own content. One of the
interesting debates that came out of this was whether users actually
establish their own personal geographies, separate of what is suggested by
applications/devices/etc, and to what extent they may do so.

Can anyone point me to further information/research on this subject?
Thanks,

Anastasia

If you are not familiar with http://del.icio.us you may want to take a
look. The whole application (bookmarking tool) is based on personal
preference. The personal preferences are shared with the whole
community.

All the best,
Thomas
