NYC Usability Professionals' Association presents:
FreshDirect: A Case Study of a Brand Built Online

Sponsored by Sachs Insights www.sachsinsights.com

Come hear the Information Architect of FreshDirect, an online grocery store
that in 2004 had $100 million in sales and over 100,000 regular customers.

FreshDirect has built a strong brand online by delivering what New Yorkers
want - fresh food brought to their doors when they want it. In this case
study, Andrew Purcell, Information Architect, FreshDirect, will talk about:

* How the online experience was developed to achieve FreshDirect's marketing
strategy

* The specific aspects of the experience - site architecture, photography,
nomenclature, etc. - and the role they play in delivering on the strategy

* Enhancements that have been made to the site experience based on customer
feedback

* Lessons learned and advances made as the brand and the site have matured

* The role of online and offline marketing to create a buzz and build the
brand

Who will benefit from this session? Anyone who faces the challenges of how
to market online; how to attract new customers; and how to create a
compelling experience that keeps customers coming back.

Following the presentation, there will be time allotted for a lively Q and
A.
