I think leaving the button enabled can induce the user to see the next set
of results when there are none...forcing the user to load another page where
he or she will be warned of that fact. I would definitely disable it.

Also, I look to put a message on the screen like "This is the last page" or "Page 9 of 9",
or something similar.
