Position Title: Interaction Designer

Position Duration: Contract, 6 mos. with possibility for extension

Job Description:
Information Architect/Interaction Designer needed for segment site
redesign for Fortune 500 financial services company. The ideal
candidate will be a practical minded perfectionist with the ability to
create compelling concepts and work through complex details – from
concept to design to writing. You should have experience working in
collaborative environments, integrating user-centered design processes
and client management. Demonstrated ability to write copy for the web
is a plus. This is will be a 3 month, full-time, contractor

* Gather and maintain business requirements working with line of
business and segment representatives
* Design the information architecture and user interface for internal
client project.
*Create process diagrams and navigation flowcharts based on analysis
of user needs
* Develop detailed page schematics
* Work with Technology & Operations to determine technology needs for
given initiatives
* Work with visual designers to ensure look & feel of given
initiatives follows establish brand and visual design system
* Serve as editorial resource and produce marketing/product copy decks
with adhere to evolving styleguide and standards
* Work under supervision of Project Lead
* Represent solutions throughout project team, client and management teams.

* Minimum 3 years dedicated experience in information architecture and
interaction design for web sites
*A portfolio of detailed page schematics, functional specifications,
interaction flows, site maps, navigation systems, and web appropriate
* Demonstrated ability to understand complex financial services
product offerings and why people interact with them
* Ability to understand and interpret existing site design and style
guides and create effective solutions within those guidelines
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through various
formats (oral, written, graphic design) with staff and clients, both
individually and in groups
* Working knowledge of various web-related technologies including
HTML, XML, JavaScript
* Working knowledge of visual design tools including Visio, Photoshop,
* Strong organizational skills
* Deadline- and detail-oriented
* Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to conflict situations
