RE: "start up a french-only discussion somewhere else" (see message received down below)
I understand what you mean but...
1) the web site here: http://interactiondesigners.com/index_fr.html (which makes THIS particular address important) gathers all the people that agrees on a single term (interaction designer). And I'm interested in exchanging with those professionals.
2) This web site also proposes to define and emplement the meaning and definition of the profession by the help of all. (all languages ) for a larger use. (not only for english speaking persons....). So Isigned up my name on this forum to read and share ideas, because I thought it was a GREAT idea.
3) And this web site only proposed ONE adress to exchange on this topic so far. (which you and I are using).
And it's fine be me so far... (and probably certain others)...because on top of french I understand and use english as well and am interested in what other people are saying too. But I agree, that it could be a good idea to ask the users in wich language they wish to join the forum.
Speaking of good ideas:
-I've been asking WHO took care of the website (Interaction designers.com) Had no answer yet.
-I proposed my help to enhance the web site interface, and yes maybe add the feature your talking about... Had no answer yet.
-suggested to the responsables some ideas to share with all others (no feedback yet)
-I've read over 450 messages in english. No feedback to my questions... I noticed that most are interested in exchanging "shop talk" instead of exchanging about the Meta view on the profession itself, and how to devellop the instrument "website" used to collaborate and diffuse the "Interaction designer, Concepteur d'interaction" notion as proposed by the website, and Tog.
(I wonder why that is...)
Anyways... -Then when I finally seem to find people ( 2 months later ) who do care about the meta subject but in French: I get your friendly message... ("Why don't you go elsewhere")
