Welcome to the Interaction Design Group Newsletter. The newsletter will
be mailed twice a month (depending on volunteer availability) and will
include a progress report from the various taskforces and groups working
diligently toward the formation of our group.

We're very excited about the future of interaction design,
and want to make sure everyone knows that we are making progress.
Equally important, we want to remind everyone that this is not a closed
process and anyone can join the Working Group. As you'll see in the
"Seeking Volunteers" section, we can definitely use your help.

* This is our first newsletter! :) If you are
interested in helping put this together in the future
or have suggestions for what you would like to see
included in the newsletter, please email
newsletter at

* A Web team has been assembled and is currently
working on the design of our new Web site.

* We successfully transitioned from Yahoo Groups
to Mailman. Now we don't have to deal with those
pesky ads inserted at the bottom of emails. :)

Special Thanks

The creation of this organization requires a lot of
hardwork from people dedicated to seeing the success of
our group. We on the Steering Committee want to thank
everyone on the Working Group, and especially those
who have joined taskforces (see below). We can't do this
without your help.
