Ok, I live in NYC, but there is no way I can pay $150 to go to a one time
event like this. I mean it's not a fund raiser, and it doesn't include food
of any substance.
The guest list is VERY impressive, but really?
$150 early and $200 at the door?
Am I missing something here?
Anyone know any of the organizers for this event who might explain their

Not such exalted company, perhaps ;-), but I'm going to be in NYC Jan 28-Feb
1 for an AIGA/Design for Democracy workshop (Monday), and a few D4D and NYC
Anthrodesign list (mainly ethnographers working in interaction design)
people are organising an NYC dinner. Monday or Tuesday night, time and
location not yet fixed. If anybody's interested in joining us...
And indeed, if anyone on this list would be up for meeting for coffee or a
chat over those days...
do let me know.
And yes, the price seems steep. Even for those of us converting sterling
into dollars at currently favourable exchange rates. Maybe aimed at
'directors/presidents-with-more-money-than-sense' rather than practitioners,
but that's just my guess.
