Department, located 1/2 hour South of San Francisco, has an opening for
a User Experience Architect on its User Experience Team. The team is
responsible for interface design, information architecture, usability
testing, user needs assessments, persona development and content for our
40 websites and large enterprise software applications. Team members
generally work on one large project and multiple small ones.
Responsibilities of the User Experience Architect
o Run user research including telephone interviews, online surveys,
competitor benchmarking and expert reviews.
o Write protocols and implement one-on-one usability studies; write
reports that include findings and actionable recommendations.
o Organize and classify content; create navigation and menu
language/labeling. Structure information and task flows.
o Create highly polished wireframes and design specifications; consult
with visual designers and developers in building the interface.
o Consult with domestic and international business units to assist them
in applying user-centered approach on their projects.
o Stay abreast of best practices in usability and interaction design,
as well as financial services industry-specific issues.
o Be alert for opportunities to improve processes and standards, and
suggest changes as appropriate.
We look for
o A minimum of 2 years experience after university fulfilling the
responsibilities of a User Experience Architect as bulleted above.
o Bachelor's degree in human factors, behavioral sciences or
equivalent. Masters degree or continuing education in fields touching on
user experience a plus.
o Excellent communication and facilitation skills. You'll be working
directly with our internal business partners and external clients.
o Proficiency in page layout using a rapid prototyping tool such as MS
