Contact Steve Eisman directly about this opportunity - he can furnish a
detailed position description. I am not affiliated with UnitedHealth
Group.
-------------------------------------------------------
UnitedHealth Group (http://www.unitedhealthgroup.com)
is building a User Experience & Design team for our Ingenix
organization (they produce a commercial software product line with
about 100 products in the healthcare market). We hired the CTO of
Overture Services/Yahoo! (Ray Ghanbari) last year and a Director of
User Experience & Design from Hewlett Packard to lead the
initiative. The roles could be located in either our Waltham, MA,
Eden Prairie, MN (a suburb of Minneapolis), Salt Lake City, UT,
Hartford, CT or Kansas City, KS facilities.

We are building a group from scratch (this will be the third person
on the team) that are looking at accomplishing the following:

1. Incorporating user-centric design into new product development
2. Creating "one voice" for all of the existing products, so that
they are recognized as Ingenix in the marketplace.

The person would report to the Senior Director of User Experience &
Design who we hired from HP last year. He reports to the CTO of
Ingenix (who was the CTO of Overture/Yahoo!). The person would need
to be interested in and capable of leading projects autonomously. We
are seeking someone that has done product design for robust
commercial software products vs. just a website. There would
be about 50% travel expected over the course of the year. Base
salary range would be in the $90,000 - $115,000/year range with both
cash and equity opportunities as well.
