Does anybody know of what open source community message boards are available? I"m looking for something that can be utiliized within a community type site on the web.
I've found Yabb, but am not familiar with anything else.
You might teak a look at JForum, http://www.jforum.net/index.jsp.
We've tweaked it a bit and use in a community source web app. It's a
discussion forum rather than a message board.

I would recommend Phorum: http://www.phorum.org/. It's fast, extensible with
plug-ins, can handle large amounts of posts (1M+), and is fully customizable
to the design of your site. There is even a newly developed add-on to allow
for integration with an existing authentication system.

Hi Wendy,
I have collected a lot of community software, newsgroups, bulletin
boards, threaded discussions, forums, etc. at
http://www.cmsreview.com/Forums/
Hope this helps.
