I want to recommend to a friend of mine to take some HCI courses that
focuses on the basic principles of interface design, guidelines, heuristics
etc. Not one that is about methods or usability testing, but one that helps
her familiarize herself with design guidelines. Probably not one of those
half day workshops either, because I think it will take time for things to
sink in and she does not have previous training in the subject matter though
she has to practice it at her current job.
Does anyone have taken classes in the NYC area that you would recommend?
Sometimes it's hard to tell if the course is good by reading the description
and I don't want to send her to something that isn't worth her time.
