I have been doing some research about Events landing page myself for a tourism website.
So far I have found couple interesting solutions of how people handle events.(not specifically corporate) I focused on finding elegant calendar solution that can handle all types of data and really communicate. (instead of just a plain old calendar)

Would love to see if anyone else has more good ideas and examples of a good event page.
Function wise, for corporate events... It might be crucial to have export to outlook, ical and so on and the ability to print as pdf.

http://gustavus.edu/calendar/03/05/2010/ (list view, with calendar as nav) http://www.berliner-philharmoniker.de/en/concerts/kalender/view/browser/datum/2010-04/ (putting everything on the calendar but yet still communicates) http://www.wolftrap.org/Home/Find_Performances_and_Events.aspx (showing detail on calendar while not crowding it) http://www.filamentgroup.com/lab/date_range_picker_using_jquery_ui_16_and_jquery_ui_css_framework/ (really enjoyed how the information is structured for this one)
