We am looking to host an IDSA event focusing on Interaction Design and wondered if there were any IxDA members in the Minneapolis/St Paul area. The UPA and MNteractive groups have heavy local involvement but I would love the opportunity to collaborate with any local members to hear input and provide engaging speakers and events.

Any suggestions on how to best reach out to local IxDA'ers?

I'm interested in participating in Twin Cities IxDA events, but as you say there is a lot of participation in UPA and MNteractive already.  UPA typically has speakers and MNteractive usually holds small group discussions in local pubs etc.  If you're interested in setting up events, what would distinguish them from what those organizations already do?

Thanks,
