Interested in a career in user research, or looking to enhance your design, development or project management/strategic design profile?
We have a gang of great new design ethnographers over here at Dundee University in Scotland, UK on the world's first and currently only Masters in Design Ethnography (launched September 2008). We work with a whole bunch of exciting industry partners including Intel, SAP and NCR. Guest lecturers have included folks from IDEO, Cooper Design and Microsoft. We welcome applications from folks with backgrounds in design, social sciences and anthropology, business, computing and engineering. Current students come from the USA, India, China, Ireland and the UK, so we hope the exciting work we are doing exploring where user research fits between design and business will be spreading around the world soon.
For folks interested in joining us to study (the programme runs one full year from September 2010 - September 2011, with the option to spend the final 4 months anywhere in the world) we have regular "online open days". The next one is next Wednesday March 17th:
