Guidance for local leaders?

I'm curious if IxDA has any official guidance for local leaders, or is this just completely ad hoc?
I'm happy to wing it, but if there are any by-laws, organizing principles, governing structures, or efforts to impose consistency from above, I'd love to know about them.
Thanks.

Hi Kim,
Running an IxDA local group is mostly ad hoc since your group will be largely determined by the needs, goals, experience levels and attitudes of the people that comprise your group. There are, however, some very helpful guidelines that are available on the Local Leader's Place Basecamp. Everything from IxDA branding and style guides for creating your local's name and logo, to notes about how to reach out to companies in your area to host and sponsor events. (If you don't have a Local Leader's Place Basecamp account, I believe Kevin Silver can set you up.) Let me know if you have trouble finding a particular file.
The most helpful thing for me has been getting to know the other local leaders and talking shop about what works and what doesn't from group to group.
Hope this helps!Hi Kim,

Hi Kim,
There is plenty of guidance in regards to how to run a local group. As
Angel stated, we have a basecamp specifically for local leaders with
plenty of information, as well as a few other resource. I'll contact
you off list with more information.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi everyone,
I'm crashing a little late on this discussion but I'm just trying to start a local group and I believe my account has been created by now. I only got an email asking for my login name and that's it. So now I'm just assuming. Does anyone know the link to the Local Leader's Place Basecamp, so that I can try and log in?
Thanks,
Lalao
