Hi all - I know some of you can't bear the term service design, but I also know many of you (like me) find it very much akin to your IxD or UX work. I could do with some help spreading the word on a collaborative online project I'm running based on a series that we have done over annually called Creative Waves.
The one this year, COTEN, explores how (and if) a service design approach can provide innovative thinking to re-imagine the Higher Education experience. It will bring together participants, experts, practitioners, academics and students from all over the world to work through ideas over a period of seven weeks during May and June. Having run everything from photographic, graphic design and science projects through our online collaboration process, we also want to see what works with service design and what doesn't.
So far special guests, each of whom will write an essay and host a thread for a week, include Arne van Oosterom and John Thackara. There are several other engaging folk tentatively confirmed too.
Please take a moment to have a look at the site and I'd hugely appreciate it if you spread the word across your networks, especially those of you in education – we could do with some more student involvement.
