IxDA Phoenix previously had presence on their own website and also has a facebook group which is where most of our members currently lie due to previously not having local group sites within the main IxDA site. We are in the process of moving everything over and appreciate your enthusiasm and patience.
If you're interested, we have an upcoming mixer at Hanny's on Wednesday August 7th from 6:30-9pm. It's a joint event with the Arizona UPA to kick off the IA Summit.
I just joined IxDA. I am a retired helicopter pilot with a master's in aeronautical science. I have been interested in interaction design for about 2 years and have just been doing some informal reading. I would be interested in meeting you and the rest of the local members some time. I live in the east valley, in Gilbert. I am going out of town tomorrow so I can't go to the mixer at Hannys. Let me know if you have any other ideas where we could all meet and get to know each other and talk interaction design. I am very interested in learning all about this stuff.
