I'm interested in both courses.I can't decide which course is the best for me.

University of Nottingham is more well-known for international but Lancaster is more industrial-base.

I'm an oversea student.I want to know more information about both courses and university reputation.

Please help me to compare these courses.

thank you.

Nottingham. Great uni, student life and well respected course. Would love to be doing that course myself!

This is probably useless information for you but the external examiner for my PhD viva was Alan Dix who works (or at least used to) at Lancaster. He is a very clever guy indeed and a bit of an eccentric but definitely one to learn from. The people I've known who did the course at Lancaster were quite good. I can't say anything about Notts though as I've never knowingly met anyone concerned with the course there.

I took the MSc in IT, and chose to specialise in HCI at Nottingham a few years back and loved the university (both campuses).  The human factors team/HCI/UID etc are fantastic there are are at the cutting edge of research...And I love the city of nottingham too, for me, one of the best cities I've lived in...

Hi all,

I am currently looking into doing a Masters Degree and am torn between the Msc in Interactive Systems Design in Nottingham and the Msc in Human Computer Interactions with Ergonomics in University College London. Has anyone got any experience of these courses, and how they may contrast? And how do employers look upon those who have completed these courses?

Thanks,

Shanco

Hi there

I was on the inaugural year of Masters in Design Ethnography at The University of Dundee.

I can completely recommend this course.
