Contract work in London?

Hello IxDA-London,

I'm currently based in the Philippines / Hong Kong and am heading back to London (I'm British) in a few weeks when I've wrapped up work here. I should be here Monday 3rd June and I'd like to attend the next IxDA meeting in London to meet you guys and network.

My questions are about London: What's the work situation like there? And who are the best people to contact?

I'm looking primarily for contract / freelance / consultancy work but full-time work is fine for the right company. My previous experience is wide-spread (finance / banking, industrial human factors, engineering software etc). Ideally I'd like to stay in financial services because I like the challenge of getting design through all the business and technical challenges there but also wish to get experience in areas that I'm weak in (eg, mobile devices).
