I used to have a microwave that just had two knobs and a handle.

Knob 1 = Time. If time > 0 and the door was closed, the microwave turned on. Dial 2 = Power level. Pull the handle = Stop now. Close the door = Continue.

NO BUTTONS. I miss that microwave.
