I agree with Elinesca. We all are expected to have enough maturity to skim and react appropriately without being rude and a Quality Inspector.

Well, I am not sure what exactly, you know about UX to appoint yourself as the utter evaluator of others' knowledge, but I can tell you I have Master's in HCI from the University of Nottingham, and MPhil, in newmedia, University of Bergen, and have been working in IT in general for over 12 years now, I will be explaining why I reacted that way to the post at the thread.

You seem to contradict yourself there, you say it is a free community, and I can choose to ignore posts, but I CAN NOT react the way I feel, and I MUST be a suck-up, and hail the king of posts or something, come on, get real, as you say we are mature and we can handle an honest feedback.

It seems to me you know very little about UX yourself, reading vs. skimming, hmmmmm would that be like whether I should swallow vs. chew rotten food, or walk vs. run over broken glass, come on it is all still a reading experience(UX), and if it is intended to waste my time I will react to it.

The only thing you are right about is I do not belong here, cuz I am no zombie, ass-kisser, and I do not wanna be part of "We are sheep maaaaaaaaaaa living model"finally, I am not nameless, my real name is kojo.

Oh sorry to bother once more, but are you his mother, usually women won't care that much about external entities, I have read the rest of comments and decided no need for me to add anything, those you say liked it, one poooooooor guy can't give his sister an advice without reading the post, and another asking for a lubricated version of it, it is just too lame and pathetic this vicious circle we are in,

some guy wanna avoid his wife, or trying to use the time he has on a plane, or trying to look busy to his boss, writes a really painful text, and we the zombies hail it, then it suddenly gets adapted by employers as an industry standard or as one mentioned, "established patterns" wow some terminology, and then when you try something different, you become the black sheep, and it keeps going on and on.

I never attacked him personally, I do not even know him at all, but the writing style and attempting to guide others with that style, claiming to be the way forward is what really triggered my reaction.

Anyways, as harsh it was the way I reacted, I hope it would also help him acquire a better authoring model for the U/reading/skimming experience....peace.

There are more courteous and respectful ways to express your opinion. You are welcome to your opinion, as is everyone else. The issue is with how you chose to express it in a community space.

Please consider this, and take the time to consider how you are presenting yourself to the rest of the community through your posts.

I say we either start new threads on:
  a) The value of Will's response;
  b) The value of Kojo's response to Will

... or, perhaps, take notice that Karl's is the *only* comment so far *since* Will's that makes any attempt to address the question asked by Sunil in the first place.

Kojo: If you have a *better* response, or questions that might help us better answer/understand Sunil's question, please illuminate us. (Oh, and feel free to keep ranting. Personally, I don't really care one way or another, but I consider it a shame that we've strayed so far off topic.)

The rest of you: STOP FEEDING THE TROLLS, and then take the advice I just gave to Kojo.
