Join us at 7pm next Tuesday, June 8th at PARC in Palo Alto, CA for an evening with User Experience experts from Cisco, hosted by Lin Brown, Ph.D., Cisco User Experience Director
User Experience experts from several Cisco teams will discuss
design techniques and lessons learned in applying today’s and
tomorrow’s technologies to collaboration. These technologies will change
the way we work, play, live, and learn. By designing great
collaboration user experiences, BayCHI UX professionals are playing a
part in changing the world.
User research on collaboration using today’s and tomorrow’s
technologies Alison Ruge, User Researcher, Cisco Voice
Alison will discuss trends in understanding how users collaborate
using today's and tomorrow’s technologies. She will make a case for
how management and designers might think about the user experience of
collaboration, what kinds of design instruments and cultural transitions
may be needed and the implications for how job roles evolve to meet the
changing landscape of work in a collaborative environment.

Better user experiences need to be created by more fragmented
teams across the globe to stay in the game. This conversation explores
challenges and shares solutions for designers, the design process and
design tools to stay on top and deliver solutions of excellence.
New ways to use video for collaboration
Jenni Kim, User Experience Manager, Cisco Digital Media Products
Jenni Kim will talk about Cisco Show and Share, an Enterprise
Social Video system. She’ll walk through the contextual design process
used to identify critical features and share key findings on video
collaboration in the Enterprise.
