So you're saying there's nothing to be learned from the experiences of other people? Then why even have a "discussion board"?

I never implied that. I was just saying that asking other people how they got their dream job is not necessarily going to help the person who asked that question. What I was implying is that in UX or IxD it's all about asking the right questions. Because every situation is different with many uncontrollable variables involved. Designing is all about teamwork and I'm a firm believer in that. We build bridges and working collectively only makes us individuals better at what we do.
