Yeah, I've tried that. It doesn't seem to work. I don't see a way to turn off all notifications. I see an option to set my update frequency as low as weekly but that seems to be a null option - doesn't affect my getting two copies of every email more or less instantly.

Can you suggest where to look for this inactivation control?

There is this big button at the top titled "HELP". As with most organizations (especially low budget) they put the direct contact information on the bottom of their help page. It's right there, OR! at the bottom of every screen on the website as "Contact IxDA".

or info@ixda.org would probably get you in the right direction though I'm pretty sure feedback@ixda.org will work.
