Informal UCD process with UML
The recent discussion about a formal UCD process had me revisit a chapter I wrote years ago on UCD and UML. I’ve found that the book is now officially out of print (it was Addison-Wesley’s _Object Modeling and User Interface Design_) although it can still be found new from some sellers.
Anyway, as it’s out of print, I’ve decided to put the chapter online. It can be found at www.syntagm.co.uk/design/articles/chapter_09_hudson.pdf
It includes a survey of UCD methods in use at the time (circa 2001). Other chapters in the book touch on related issues, so it might still be worth getting hold of it if this is a topic that interests you:
