All of our London and Brussels courses have a three-for-two discount available.
We still have places remaining on our Web and Intranet Usability Course on 13 September in central London. This course is ideal for development teams, managers and those wanting to move into or already getting started in usability. For experienced usability practitioners, the course provides practical activities that can be used with teams to help sell the case for usability and user-centred design.
October sees the debut of our Brussels courses, hosted by our good friends at the human-centred design consultancy, Namahn. We are running a series of three one-day workshops on Agile UCD, Ajax Design and Usability and Card Sorting for Navigation Design (5,6 and 7 Oct). An early booking discount is available until 17 September. As with our London courses, you can book three places (in any permutation) and pay for only two.
Also in October is the first of our emotional intelligence courses for software, web and intranet development teams (on the 11th). We’ve combined our two separate communication and negotiating skills courses into a single highly-practical day. Learn how to increase your ability to communicate and negotiate within diverse teams and have more effective working relationships. This course is led by our principal people-skills consultant, Valerie Fawcett, who has run training courses for scores of companies, including Vodafone, Elsevier, Oxford University Press, NHS Primary Care Trusts, Thomson Reuters, Schlumberger, Perkin Elmer and Nikon. The course is called Communicating and Negotiating with Emotional Intelligence. There is an early booking discount until 10 September.
In November our Agile User Experience and UCD course is running in both Hamburg and London (5th and 15th, respectively). If you are developing solutions with Agile (XP or Scrum, for example) this course will help you to integrate usability and UCD activities to best effect. The course was very popular and well-reviewed in London in May. It is being considered for next year’s CHI conference in Vancouver.
We have other courses scheduled through the early part of 2011. As always, if you are a student or your organisation does charitable work, we do have a limited number of ‘at cost’ places available. Get in touch for further details.
