Hi, I'm looking for a shortlist of the best design firms that have significant experience with interaction design for hand held devices. If someone could point me in the direction of an existing thread or provide a list I would highly appreciate it.

I have worked with PunchCut to design the UI of one of our touch screen phones and they're awesome.

You should also look into Mobients (http://www.mobients.com/), a newer company that has assembled a sharp and highly experienced team.
