As a Sr. User Experience Researcher you will be researching the user and market trends and shifts to help the company vision and identify what the next innovation in design should be.

Responsibilities:

·         Track User Experience/Interaction trends and evolving HCI technologies and techniques in academic research, publications, and industry, and provide those resources in an easy format for the team.

·         Make it easy to rate, categorize, organize, and review the product and user interface concepts developed by the team and present them to various groups. Organize the ideas in a wiki, database, or similar tool, with mockups, prototypes, design rationale, design specifications, and other materials. 

·         Track research on user behavior and markets; particularly track US market data on consumer electronics purchase and user behavior for TV, mobile, web services.

·         Involve in planning and running our user studies and market research.

·         Present the research data in team brainstorming and design sessions and contribute in developing innovative product concepts for a graceful and delightful user experience.

·         Make valuable contribution to the organization’s strong drive to be on the cutting edge of technology through generation of patentable ideas.

Skills/Attributes:

·         Advanced degree, Ph. D highly preferred, in Library Science, Information, HCI or a related field.

·         Minimum of 5 years related experience in research, archiving, and user experience.

·         Great technical skills with wikis, databases, data modeling, and asset/document management

·         Confident and articulate communication skills to get ideas across in your team and in external industry and university relation.

·         Sharp analytical skills and talent in distilling and explaining the crucial facts and ideas.

·         Ability to take initiative in conducting independent research and analysis, and work with your team to evolve those insights into a compelling form for technology transfer.
