Hello IXDA Minneapolis,
I would like to schedule a meeting to a phone conference to listen to ideas on how we can (1) Get IXDA Active, recognition, events, speakers, etc.. (2) gain new members. What times work the best
Monday, 14th 2011: 9:00, 10:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 CST
Wed, 16th 2011: 9:00, 10:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 CST
Friday, 18th 2011: 9:00, 10:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 CST

Just seeing this now. Was there any response to a meeting time? If not, we should try again in April. I'm happy to meet up on a weekday in mid-April to talk about running the group.

I haven't heard anything from the initial meeting proposal. I'm still game to set something up as well. Week nights after work are best for me.

I'm anxious to see if we could get something happening here in the Twin Cities too. I was at IxD11 Boulder, saw some old friends, made some new ones, and came away very inspired. Let's try to get this going.

So jealous! Sounded like a great conference!
To get this going, I propose doing a meet/greet sort of get together to keep it light for the first time and figure out a game plan. Thoughts about doing a happy hour somewhere in the cities? Crave (West End)? Psycho Suzies (NE)? Happy Gnome (StP)? (trying to throw out ideas in different parts of the city) I am open most weekday evenings after 4:00pm. I'd be glad to coordinate this and get some space reserved when we pick a date/place.
Can't wait to meet people and this going (finally).

Happy hour sounds good. I'm usually free Wednesday evenings and either of those dates would work for me.
Ok it sounds like Wed are the best for people.
Let's keep it simple and meet at Stella's in uptown at 5pm on Wed 4-20-11. Myself (Dan Fernandez) and (John Koch) will be at the first floor bar.
I'll have our laptop open with the ixda website open on it so you can know who we are.
This will be really informal and more about grabbing a beer and meeting others in the ID community. Please bring some business cards and we'll see you guys there.

My name is Scott, and I am currently employed at Microsoft working on the Expression product, specifically on the SketchFlow component. I am a developer, but one that really tries to keep a close eye on the UX design of the product since we do not have any UX or graphic designers in our local office. I am really interested in meeting desingers in the area and I look forward to getting to know you guys.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help get things going within the group, I am sure I could leverage some of Microsoft's facilities to host events in the future.

Thanks to everyone that showed up yesterday. It was really good to meet everyone and bounce ideas off each other (that's what she said?)
Anyway, I will be setting up another meeting on meetup.com a month from now. Once I get that setup I'll send out the link and we can start recruiting more members.

Sounds good. I really enjoyed meeting everyone too. Tuesdays or Thursdays work much better for me and will allow me to spend more time with you guys. But I can be flexibe if needed.

I am pretty flexible between days. The only day that really doesn't work for me is Friday (tend to spend that on the boat during the summer months). Majors sounds good. Seems to be a lot of IA/UX related people around the southwest metro.
