Short Video Production for Internet Workshop

So my company is starting to look in the direction of online video and I've been asked to sign up for the following:

The workshop is titled "Short Video Production for the Internet". It's open to non-members for $40 and takes place in El Segundo, CA. I'm passing this information along in case anyone is interested or has some experience with this workshop.

If anyone knows of any similar types of workshops I would appreciate it. My company is showing enough interest in online video that I'm being encouraged to find workshops, classes, and resources to present for company training in this area.

While I'm on the subject, I'd like to know if anyone has any experience with user feedback and response to those video ads that appear on websites. The ones where someone pops out of a <div> area and starts talking to the viewer, or otherwise comes out of one portion of the web page and ends up in another. There has been some interest in this concept, and I'd like to know where I can get data on this. So far, our numbers and statistics have come from companies that sell this service, and I'd like to see what others say.
