Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design is currently accepting applications for their one-year Interaction Design Programme (entry Jan 2012) and a 3-week summer school (July 2011).

Interaction Design Programme

Curious and creative? Enthusiastic about design and working in a cross-disciplinary environment? Interested in the connections between education and interaction design practice?

As a one-year, Masters level education concerned with the broad potential of design and technology, the Interaction Design Programme is looking for a wide diversity of students. Whether you’re currently studying or working, we welcome applicants from all over the world and from any background.

CIID Summer School 2011

A series of elective back-to-back workshops: Exploring Interaction Design, Computational Design, Physical Prototyping, Physcial Computing.

This modular course provides an overview of what interaction is and how interaction design can define behaviours. Participnts will have the opportunity to learn hands-on practical skills for designing tangible and graphical interfaces. CIID follows a ‘learning by doing’ philosophy so people will be encouraged to explore the city as a context and then make, play and build things in the studio/workshops.

We hope that we can infuse both the knowledge and enthusiasm to encourage participants to study interaction design at a higher level or to use their new-found skills in their current practice.

For future reference I would be interested in hearing what other types of short courses people would be interested in undertaking.
