Usability of the IXDA Site

The IXDA site seems to have some questionalbe usability characteristics. Why on earth does it ask me to confirm when I click "Join" for a local group? I'm not asking it to wipe my harddrive or self destruct my spaceship. I don't want to have to click twice. Just let me join and make it easy for me to leave.

Yeah, I think this topic has come up on IxDA a few times. I can't seem to find the discussion but I believe they were working towards a redesign. I think the current implementation is in drupal and has few restrictions that complicated things.
