Indian Day

In Latin America, the Day of the Indian (19 of April), commemorated since 1940 for decision of the First Inter-American Indigenista Congress, will be marked by many mobilizations. The aboriginals will use to advantage the date to detach the wealth of its cultures and to denounce the problems that face. In Brazil, the Joint of the Aboriginal Peoples of Brazil (Apib) carries through, since day 17 until day 20, the National Fórum of Lideranças Indígenas (FNLI), congregating organizations of all the country. The idea is to come back the look on the aboriginal movement, debating the main demands, perspectives and strategies
