The article is citing a somewhat questionable study done by a Mobile app company that supports what they want. The idea that this may happen or has happened is not that impressive really.  What would make the difference is a sustained switch from one base to another. But a current trend is merely a current trend in progress.  Mobile devices are still new to most folks, and we have to wait and see how much of the excitement is novelty.

Its a great opportunity. I assume bright future of Mobile Apps delivered through Web!!

Just to balance up the figures for native Apps versus Web browsing, market may take turn towards 'Hybrid' Apps for devices.

Now with the revolutionary technologies - we should not treat the WEB as an asset for only Desktops or PCs. Now its a part of communication devices too - right from feature phones to Tablets.

Lets take the wider perspective to expand our canvas - Web is just the distribution medium, whereas - Desktops, Phones, Tablets (+future devices...) are devices which renders the information.
