I am a young woman who recently completed her Bachelor's in Information Science at Pitt. I am interested in design, particularly how it relates to human-computer interaction. I would want to do an entry-level position because my experience is good, but limited. I would even take on an internship if possible. Do you have any advice?

Hi Maggie,
These kinds of questions are raised on this list all the time. If I were you, I would just stay tuned in for a while, and I think your questions will be answered. Also, entry-level positions are announced on here periodically.

Another option is to do some Freelance work if there is nothing available in your area. There are many smaller firms that reach out all the time to available freelancers (ours included). It may be an avenue to get some additional work under your belt and meet different folks / teams.
Hello Maggie,
I recommend you make some connections through our local group, IxDA Pittsburgh. We've been having informal meetups at coffee houses and bars around the burgh on the last Thursday of every month. Our next event will be on August 12th at Hack Pittsburgh.
