I'm Tyler Hilker. i do UX (and other things – strategy, social, search – when called upon to do so) at VML. I've been here for over four years, but have only been officially doing UX for the last couple; I was in our social planning department before. Prior to moving to KC in March of 2007, I was at a search agency in Eugene, Oregon.
Hey all, Matt Edwards here. I'm an interaction designer at Walsworth Publishing. As you probably noticed in the other thread, I just moved here last month. Before that, I was finishing up my MS in Human-Computer Interaction Design at Indiana University. While in school, I did Information Architecture for Nationwide Insurance and a couple of smaller websites. I've been involved with IxDA since last year, and got to go to Interactions '11 in Boulder. Had a fantastic time.
I'm a bit of a gamer: video games, strategy games, board games, etc. I've practiced martial arts since 2001, although grad school slowed that down a bit. I'm looking at what KC has to offer in that regard, and may get back into it soon.
It's nice to meet everyone! Maybe we can drum up some interest for a happy hour social, or something.
