Hi,

Is TechSmith Morae the current standard or is there a better alternative and why?

Thanks

I use Webex most of the time - because I"m working with corporate intranets and they can access it from behind the firewall without any requirement for Software installations.

Not used Morae for this. I miss having all the marking / exporting tools, but you can get round it quite easily.

I've also used Skype with the call recorder plug in.

Interesting; I use a Webex like service for the conf call and screen sharing and Morae precisely because of the ease of editing the video after the fact.

Anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to screen share live Morae sessions with numerous people (i.e., 20)?  Perhaps Webex, Gotomeeting, etc.?

I regularly use GoToMeeting to connect people participating in or observing usability tests. I have one (separate) machine for Morae, which records the GTM stream. Note, however, that on a Windows system, GTM will make it's own recording.

GoToMeeting only handles 15 connections. Over that you need GoToWebinar. And, be sure that everyone besides the moderator and participant are muted at GoToMeeting to cut down the strain on the system.

I have had some less-than-wonderful experiences with Webex, but that may be because I'm often working with healthcare professionals where getting through the medical facility firewall is a real issue. GTM is much better for that.
