Is anyone attending this webinar tomorrow?
Do you find that they're typically useful or a waste of time?

Drive bottom line impact through effective application prototyping
Prototyping best practices deliver more effective websites and applications in less time

  • The six best practices of prototyping and how to implement them into your process.
  • The two most common and costly pitfalls of the prototyping process, and how to avoid them.
  • How many benefits of Agile can be realized within a waterfall methodology by integrating iterative prototyping into the process.

I've been tasked with researching prototyping practices and making a recommendation for our team. Does anyone have any additional resources they'd recommend?

My experience has been that while free webinars are often produced as a way to garner interest in selling another product (e.g. a more in-depth paid seminar series), they generally have to provide some useful information in order to entice you to buy the primary product.

That said, I've also found free webinars from companies like UIE and Adaptive Path that had no strings attached and were useful.

Worst case scenario ... you waste an hour of your time on listening to a career-related topic to find that you already know the content (i.e. reaffirmation of your skills). <grin>

Wasting an hour really is worst case. I have been tempted by free webinars and realized only 10 minutes in that it wasn't worth my while. Given that it might have been useful, it really isn't much of a risk (I know of no means of insisting that you stay online for the whole thing!).

A waste of time is asking about "this" without providing the slightest clue what "this" specifically refers to...
