In Need of Useful Resources
Hello,
This website is pretty great! I have recently become very interested in interactive design. I am interested in the way people use technology and the internet.
I am studying Information Science and Technology in school, and that's about as close a degree as I could get. There is a Graphic Design program, but that is more on the actual Photoshop use etc, and would have taken me too long to complete anyways.
I guess I'm just curious about this path. What would I need to learn to get ahead? Is there any resources, books, cites, etc. where I can start to learn more about Interactive Design? Any information regarding Interactive Design in a broad way, or even more specific as a "Interactive Designers need to know _____. You can learn that here."
Any way to get a taste of interactive design and maybe start preparing myself for the professional world would be a big help. I'm sort of in the dark as to what I want to do when I graduate, but this sounds pretty promising.

Hi Nate,
I'm not going to address all of your questions here, but I wanted to let you know that I've started a series on DesignAday that will provide the kind of answers you are seeking.
Best,
