Is the IXDA mentoring program still active? If not, can we revive it? There has been a lot of talk on various UX related forums including IXDA about new graduates having a tough time getting into industry. The mentoring program may help them.

I'd like to know the answer to this as well.

I have been mentoring through this program for over two years now and agree that it needs more visibility. I am willing to take on another if the IXDA would send out a call to action and do the matching like they did last time.
A note to those who have never mentored: It has been for me, everytime, a very enriching experience. I very often learn much more than I teach. Mentoring is more about being there and overcoming uncertainty that tutelage. These folks new to the field know their shit, they just don't know how to use it yet. Easy Peasy. Guidance. Show options that only experience can teach.
I have contact with my current maybe twice a month now. We have together forged international contacts and brainstormed new ideas.
The Pros need to step up here.
Thanks,
Jim Ungar

I think Jon Kolko was trying to get something started. He had a mentoring website that I can't find now.

I received a mentor from the IxDA program. He emailed me once and that was the end of it.

I have been trying to find a mentor and had applied via http://www.ixda.org/about/participate/request-mentor almost a month ago. Does it usually take so long to find a mentor? ( Am I that bad? :P )

Any help, mentoring, links, resources from all you nice IXDA folks would be highly appreciated. :)

I'm interested in the program as well. It seems it would make sense for local chapters to be very involved in this, but the Boston chapter (where I'm from) seems to have very little activity going on.
