I've been using Fireworks CS5 and just moved to Lion. I find that on every launch, FW opens all the files that I was using in my last session. Is there any way to turn this off? I've checked the Preferences and Google also the forums on any clues?

In your system preferences go to the "general" tab and deselect something called "remember last opened programs" or resume (I don't remember the exact name).

This is standard behaviour under Lion. I think you can hold down shift when launching apps to prevent opening windows that launch, or turn it off globally in the General system preference pane...

This is a feature in Lion, but you can de/activate it in the General preferences panel via the option "Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps" (it's a bit hidden underneath the "Number of recent items" popup menus).

You can also toggle this behavior on an app-by-app basis by holding down the Option key when selecting File>Quit. The menu item's title will change from "Quit" to "Quit and Close All Windows" or "Quit and Keep Windows", accordingly.

Thanks a lot, all.

Unlike me, others have found this feature useful
