Keith Anderson is the chapter leader of IXDA in Dallas.  He has been a key organizer of the Big Design Conference for the past three years.  He is also actively involved in the local chapter of the Society for Technical Communication in Dallas, too.  Keith loves beer, heavy metal music, writing, organizing, solicalizing, and social media.

On November 4th, Keith Anderson was diagnosed with pancreatitis.  He organs started to turn on his body.  He was admitted into ICU on November 5th.  He was placed on a ventilator, ended up getting pneumonia, went on dialysis, and gained 90 pounds of water weight (which doctors took off via the dialysis treatments).  Keith has ended up havng four surgeries at the time of this post (two surgeries to remove parts of his pancreas, one for a blood clot, and one to remove pockets of puss in his back). During the first surgery, Keith almost died.

Today, Keith is still in poor shape.  It is over five weeks later.  He has been in a bed the entire time.  Keith is looking at over 8 months of recovery.  For every day in bed, it will take 5-7 days to recover.  As of today, it will be 8 months before a full recovery.

The Big Design Conference organizers have set up a fund to pay for Keith's mortgage.  You can read about it here:

Here is your design challenge: help us to pay for all of their 2012 home mortgage.  We have enough for six months.
