Hi Everyone,
Need your opinions/suggestions on these two universities. I have got through Parsons for Design and Technology and waiting for a response from SVA for Interaction Design. It seems like a tough choice to me but would need some feedback on these two colleges. Any reviews? Academics? Faculty? Facilities? Jobs? Which one should be preferred? I'm an international student and have a vague idea about which one is better.
Please help!
Thanks!
Ritika

Hi,
I got in the Parsons DT program too but I decided not to go. I guess it depends on what you want to do in the future. I know some people in the DT program and they told me it's really a flexible program. You can do physical computing and other cool stuff. But, if you want to do interaction design (or more specifically UX), SVA may be better because it gives you a whole systmatic education of interaction design. the DT program has an "interactivity" track, which does cover some interaction design, usability, information arch stuff, but it's more focused on programming interactivity like Processing, OpenFramewrok, HTML5 stuff...
Awesome! Thanks for the info! Yes, I want to go in for pure UX/Interaction design. I was a little biased towards SVA since their curriculum seems to meet my interests more than the DT program at Parsons does, but I wanted to be sure.
Thanks again!
I applied to, and was accepted to, both and chose SVA. It seemed more focused and the smaller class size appealed to me. I'm happy with my decision.
