Hello:

I'm wondering if anyone could point me to some good resources (books, blog posts, websites etc) that focus on designing for educational tools, spaces and displays (info design)?  This would be for a science museum so there's the physical space to consider as well as their digital presence/tools that support learning.

Many thanks!

Here are some related reads, which could provide some good background:

  • Nina Simon. The Participatory Museum. Left Coast Press, Inc., 2010.
  • John H. Falk. Identity and the Museum Visitor Experience. Left Coast Press, 2009.
  • Loic Tallon. Digital Technologies and the Museum Experience: Handheld Guides and Other
    Media. AltaMira Press, 2008.

I read those books while working on my IXD master's thesis project on handheld guides and thought they were great.
