Hi All,

I am looking for good and bad examples of how sites encourage users to share content whether that be by email or share buttons or other means.  I notice some sites are including a lot of buttons which I think negatively impacts the user experience for the sake of SEO.  Do you know of any bad examples or really good examples?

Apologies if this has been discussed already but I couldnt find anything using the Search.

Hi Tania,

There are two excellent books on this topic:

  • Designing for the Social Web
    by Joshua Porter
  • Designing Social Interfaces: Principles, Patterns, and Practices for Improving the User Experience
by Christian Crumlish & Erin Malone
