Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that Bill Buxton will be keynoting this years Remix South conference.  It's a community hosted conference so we're keeping the cost low.  This will be the only US speaking engagement for Bill this year.  Plus, we've got a great UX track which includes both workshops and sessions.

The UX workshops are:

Professional Sketching Workshop by Jason Alderman, aka @justsomeguy

Interaction Design Master Workshop by Dave Malouf, aka @daveixd

Here's a taste of some of the sessions:

The Motivational GPS by Kes Sampanthar, Director of Media Strategy at Cynergy, @kessampanthar

The Future of Interface Technology by Ash Thorp, FUI designer on the films, Promethus, Total Recall, @ashthorp

Real World Pixels by David Kung at Oblong, the people that made the interface in Minority Report

Brand Translation for iOS/Android, by Stephen Martin from MailChimp, aka @stephenmartin

Designing Immersive Mobile Experiences by Wren Lanier, aka @heywren

We have four different workshop tracks on Friday; UX, Mobile, Metro, and Web.  And five tracks on Saturday; UX, Mobile, Web, Metro and Future Tech.

Check out our schedule for the full details or just go ahead and register at

Part of the ethos of the conference is to have a mix of designers and developers in attendence.  Not to mention having some of the best names out there just hangning out talking about their passions.  And yes, that includes Mr. Buxton.

Please consider to capture video or at least audio of the keynote. This would be marvelous.

good news - you rock!

Then I will have something to add to my Bill Buxton page at  This is basically a reconstructed session from CHI 08 in Florence where nothing was recorded.
