Hello fellow Interaction Designers

The IxDA Sydney mentorship pilot program has had an excellent response, with 15 students, mostly from University of Sydney, and 12 IxDA members volunteering to mentor them. Thank you to all the mentors who have donated their time to help shape the future of Interaction Design in Sydney.

But if you have a look at those numbers, you can see our dilemma. We'd rather not turn any eager students away so we return to you and ask if there are a few more of you prepared to donate one hour a fortnight, between now and mid Dec, to share a bit of your expertise, and gain some new experience as a mentor.

I'd very much appreciate if you could distribute this among your colleagues, to help spread the word.

Additionally, anyone who already volunteered is also invited to meet with two students instead of one, which could be a two hour, "group" session on the same day, should they wish to.

There is more information at: http://www.meetup.com/ixda-sydney/messages/boards/thread/26876642 if you'd like to understand what is expected of you. First in, first assigned, so plese respond sooner rather than later.

Please contact myself, Ash Alluri or Matthias Schreck if you'd like to put yourself forward BEFORE WEDNESDAY as we'd like to get the students started up ASAP.

Thank you again to those who have already signed up to mentor, and those who will do so now to help us meet the demand.  Also, thank you to those who have considered it, but have decided not to sign up this semester. The good news is that there will be more opportunities in the new year for the next round..
